Animal Communication

********************

BettyLewis: Hello!

PHAbymom: Hi Betty!

PHTomcat: Hi Betty :)

Topazz: hello Betty :)

BornToRun: hi betty

laddiesmom: hi betty

Checkers: Lots of dogs and cats here

locob2: dogs, 1 cat, birds here

danelover: evening betty!

RatGirl: hi, Betty

luvmybully: hi betty

DexxKat: welcome Betty

BettyLewis: Thank you all!

MunchieScrunchie: <---- 8 cats

LiLLyTheSpottedDevilKitt: 5 cats one devil cat one dog

locob2: I've got a shih tzu too dane

luvmybully: holy cow

BearBear: Hi, Betty

PHAbymom: Hello and welcome to the second night of PetHobbyist.com's Fourth Annual Chat Week!

PHAbymom: I'm PHAbymom, site coordinator of CatHobbyist.com. We are extremely happy to see you all here tonight and to welcome our very special guest, animal communicator Betty Lewis.

PHAbymom: Before I introduce Betty, I just wanted to go over the protocol for the chat.

danelover: cool locob2, my boy just got groomed today

locob2: gotta get my girl groomed, she hats having her butt combed

PHAbymom: We will be using "Chat protocol" tonight. Let me explain.

PHAbymom: One, if you have not already done so, you must create a nickname. If you entered the room through the direct link (the java link), then you need to simply type the nickname you want in the space where you normally type chat, and then hit "enter."

PHAbymom: Use a name that is unique, as common names like "Sue" or "CatLover" are already registered to other users.

PHAbymom: If the name you use is already taken, or you are here using mIRC or another IRC client, you create a nickname this way:

locob2: heehee, lillythespotteddevilkitt will have to calm down!

PHAbymom: Type into the room the following text, and then hit enter when you are done: /nick desirednewname

gonzokat: hello

PHAbymom: Once you have done this, at any time during the chat, you may type a ? if you have a question, and a ! if you have a comment. The host will add your name to the queue, and you will be called on, in order. Please do not chat into the room until you have been called on!

PHAbymom: If you have trouble or need to be reminded how this works, just doubleclick on my name or the name of any other host with @PH in front of their name, and we will help you!

ChowChowLuv: ?

BettyLewis: I am sorry, goalie

GoalieNYI: I have a 16 year old Calico who needs to be on special fud, but she keeps trying to

BettyLewis: go ahead

PHAbymom: Ok... let me get on with the introduction so we can get started !

RatGirl: ?

GoalieNYI: eat my other cat's fud. Is there any way I can communicate with her mentally to make her

PHAbymom: Please not chatting during the questions...

GoalieNYI: realize that she shouldn't eat the other cat's fud?

PHAbymom: Do you want to talk to animals and get answers back from them? Betty Lewis has been doing just that, talking telepathically with animals and acting as an interpreter between animals and their people since 1987. She is the author of "Animals Speak," a collection of stories from her practice as well as exercises to understand how you process information and skills to allow you to talk to animals yourself. Betty will work with you in

PHAbymom: Now on behalf of all of us at PetHobbyist.com, I'd like to introduce Betty Lewis! She will open with a few remarks and then she will take your questions. Welcome, Betty!

Guest84899: shofar_9

Guest84899: ?

BettyLewis: I do want to say that everyone is capable of talking telepathically with animals

BettyLewis: it's a matter of quieting your own mind

BettyLewis: like any skill it takes practice

Guest84899: ShofarK9s

BettyLewis: there are guidelines to learn how to talk with animals

BettyLewis: many of us have written books, including myself, and also Penelope Smith and others

BettyLewis: that will help you learn

BettyLewis: next question?

PHMowgli: bully go ahead

will: willy g

Guest84899: ?

BettyLewis: stopping the cat from eating the other cat's food, is to not only request the cat not to eat the other food

luvmybully: my 15mth bullmastiff has serious agg problem is there anyway that i can comm to tell him that he is fine?

BettyLewis: cats tend not to be quite as cooperative simply because we ask them

BettyLewis: dogs are more forgiving

BettyLewis: your cat is probably going to have be asked telepathically

BettyLewis: but also taking other practical measures

BettyLewis: like feeding the cats in separate rooms

BettyLewis: luvmybully, do you mean aggression?

luvmybully: yes

BettyLewis: this question is very complicated

BettyLewis: it can stem from something like rabies vaccinosis, and homeopathy can be useful, but there is so much surrounding aggression

BettyLewis: that we would have to work on this privately

BettyLewis: and possibly use other appraoches such as private trainers

BettyLewis: ok

luvmybully: it's not to everyone it is only african american men and big dogs

luvmybully: i have tried EVERYTHING

Valkyrie-dMN: ?

shofar_k9s: ?

BettyLewis: there is no way to cover such an extensive problem in a chat

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: topazz you are next

Topazz: I have a cat that has bonded with me like no other cat, is there a possibility he is another pet from my past?

luvmybully: is there somewhere i can contact you privatley?

BettyLewis: certainly there is a possiblity

Topazz: how could I find out?

BettyLewis: this has happened frequently

luvmybully: ?

BettyLewis: you can ask... you don't always get the answer that you want but there is no harm in asking!

Topazz: it feels so strange

Topazz: sigh, I don't feel receptive to their answers

BettyLewis: My phone number is 603-673-3263

PHMowgli: billjohn go ahead

BettyLewis: Topazz, in a private consultation you can work on that together with a communicator, or you can read one of the books and learn yourself how to communicate telepathically with your animals

BettyLewis: ok

CatHouseWaitress: ?

Topazz: thanks Betty, appreciate your tome

Billjohn: I'd like to get some idea of the history of my rescue dog to find out why she's afraid of certain things, etc. Can a dog tell you this kind of thing?

BettyLewis: you're welcome Topazz!

BettyLewis: good luck

BornToRun: ?

BettyLewis: Bill, yes, this is often a very successful line of questioning

BettyLewis: something that I've worked with frequently

BettyLewis: did you want to say more?

Billjohn: I want to make sure I don't bring back bad memories, or upset her.

BettyLewis: just like with people

BettyLewis: you have to be sensitive in the way you ask questions

BettyLewis: dogs are very forgiving

BettyLewis: but there is always a possiblity of bringing back bad memories

BettyLewis: however, they more likely just won't want to talk if that's the case

Billjohn: In such a case, should I use a professional, rather than trying it myself?

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: laddie go ahead

laddiesmom: i have a sheltie i adopted about 5.5 years ago, he is taking antibiotics and doesn't make giving the pills an easy job, can you explain to him why he has to take the pills? and find out when his birthday is?

BettyLewis: Billjohn, well, that depends on how confident you feel about getting the answers

Billjohn: Thanks, Betty!

PHAbymom: Those of you who are listed as “Guest”, you need to create a nickname. If you entered the room through the direct link (the java link), then you need to simply type the nickname you want in the space where you normally type chat, and then hit "enter."

BettyLewis: laddiesmom, I cannot connect with your dog in the chat. Some animals will tell you when their birthdays are

BettyLewis: For some it's not important to have figured out how to use our calendar system

BettyLewis: as the pills go, maybe the pills are something that are bad for the animal, and they are trying to tell you something worth listening to

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: danelover please go ahead

laddiesmom: okay thanks

danelover: I have a shihtzu male that torments my male dane on a regular basis, unprovoked. Would you recommend consuling a communicator to try and find out why??

BettyLewis: Certainly that would be my recommendation.

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: jasper go ahead

PHMowgli: jasper dane your question please

jasperdane: I have a lost animal that I believe is dead, could you confirm this? If alive would you be able to help me find him or let me know he's gone for good?

BettyLewis: unfortunately while I can talk to animals who have passed over

BettyLewis: I cannot tell whether they are alive or dead

BettyLewis: unless there has been some traumatic event which causes the animal to tell me they are dad

BettyLewis: dead

BettyLewis: that is one of the most frustrating things about talking with lost animals

BettyLewis: as far as finding them is concerned

jasperdane: I just want to know if I should still be looking for him.

BettyLewis: talking with a lost animal is a very tricky topic

BettyLewis: and I generally do not accept new clients for lost animals when that is the first contact

jasperdane: Thanks Betty

PHMowgli: calgerylabs go ahead

BettyLewis: there is a lot to understand about talking about lost animals

CalgeryLabs: I have seven dogs. But I'm worried about two of them. One freaks out when I leave the house. The other one hates showing and is fearful of noises, other people, etc, etc. Can you calm them down and tell them that it's ok? Or what should I do? I would like to be able to leave Lucky at home while I'm at work. And be able to have fun with Eve at dog shows. Is this possible?

BettyLewis: they go into survival mode

BettyLewis: and they are not the same animal you think you have lost

BettyLewis: they change tremendously

BettyLewis: while they are lost

BettyLewis: Calergry, simply telling an animal that it's ok is probably not going to be very successful

BettyLewis: finding out WHY they have the problem that they do

jasperdane: I keep getting calls that my cat has been seen but when I go there ...nothing.

BettyLewis: and working with the dog or finding ways to manipulate the situation

CalgeryLabs: How can I do that?

BettyLewis: and talking with them is often a critical part of that discovery

BettyLewis: just like asking a person with a phobia not to be scared or bite their nails or whatever it is, is not likely to be successful

BettyLewis: asking an animal not to be scared is not likely to be successful either

CalgeryLabs: So what should I say instead?

BettyLewis: CalgeryLabs, you have to work and find out WHY they are scared

SadieMom: ?

BettyLewis: we can't take the end product, and say don't do it, we have to work on it

CalgeryLabs: I think something happened to Eve when she was a puppy because when I got her, she did not act like a normal puppy.

BettyLewis: we can certainly ask her about that

jasperdane: It's been about 4 months.

CalgeryLabs: Lucky was a pet store puppy, so I'm pretty sure she came from a puppy mill.

CalgeryLabs: Ask Eve what happened to her.

BettyLewis: yes

CalgeryLabs: yes what?

BettyLewis: yes, ask Eve what happened to her.

CalgeryLabs: I should ask her?

BettyLewis: Jasperdane, I can recommend other animal communicators who do work with lost animals

BettyLewis: you can phone me for the recommendation

jasperdane: Thanks, I would like that. Sorry I took up so much space.

BettyLewis: Calgerylabs, yes

CalgeryLabs: How do I receive the answer?

BettyLewis: CalgeryLabs, you need to learn how to talk with animals telepathically either by reading the books about how to do it, or by consulting with an animal communicator

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: Tomcat you are up ; )

PHTomcat: Betty, my cat BJ gets nausea from her chemo treatments she has for her Lymphoma. She won't eat her food, how can I get her to know how important it is for her to eat and how much it breaks my heart when she doesn't eat.

BettyLewis: I am sure she understands how sick she is

BettyLewis: and how upset you are

BettyLewis: BUT

BettyLewis: she really can't force herself to eat when she feels very nauseous

BettyLewis: it's probably better to try to deal with the nausea by giving something like ginger

BettyLewis: or something like super blue green algae that isn't really food but contains a lot of nutrients

BettyLewis: otherwise all we can really offer is moral support

PHTomcat: Thanks Betty I will do that. Poor baby just vomited a minute ago. :(

PHMowgli: DexxKat go ahead

DexxKat: Do animals lie/fib? Like when one commits a "crime"...do they try to blame the other?

BettyLewis: Tomcat, I can feel that.

PHTomcat: Betty thanks. Where do I get blue green Algea?

BettyLewis: Tomcat, you can contact me.

PHTomcat: Betty it breaks my heart to see her so sick.

PHTomcat: Betty thanks.

BettyLewis: As far as lying is concerned, I don't think animals truly lie the way we think about lying.

BettyLewis: They do live in the moment

BettyLewis: and they sometimes have what we might consider tunnel vision

BettyLewis: so some of what comes out of their mouths we might consider not the true story

BettyLewis: but when they say it, it really is the way they believe it

BettyLewis: when they are saying it

BettyLewis: Tomcat, you're welcome.

DexxKat: good enough for me...thanks :)

BettyLewis: You're welcome

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: Checkers go ahead with your question

Checkers: Will my older guy ever settle down? He is like a bull in a china shop

BettyLewis: Talking with animals is not fortune telling, and we really can't predict the future

BettyLewis: however

BettyLewis: almost everyone settles down eventually, if you can wait that long

G:

BettyLewis: ok

Checkers: Is there a reason for his activity'

PHMowgli: go ahead golden

LiLLyTheSpottedDevilKitt: ?

PHGolden: Is the best way to try to communicate through pictures (thinking visually)??? And how is that done?

BettyLewis: Checkers, I would have to talk to him to find that out.

Checkers: Ok thanks

BettyLewis: Golden, animals communicate through pictures, thoughts, and feelings, in fact, all of their senses

BettyLewis: we pick up the information both through all of our senses

PHMowgli: For tonights chat if you have a ? for Dr. Tobin all you need to do is type ? we will keep a list and when we call your name just type your question out and Betty Lewis will answer you.

BettyLewis: but we all have our strengths as far as our dominant sense

BettyLewis: humans as a species tend to be visual

BettyLewis: so many people do project and get information visually

BettyLewis: however in my own case I pick up feelings more strongly

BettyLewis: anyway you can pick up information is valid

BettyLewis: don't confine yourself just to the visual

BettyLewis: ok

ChowChowLuv: ?

PHGolden: Okay, thank you !

PHMowgli: chia go ahead

BettyLewis: you're welcome

chia: We had to put our 17 year old dog to sleep last august 2001 & it was the one weekend of my life that I was away from him so my husband did it alone. I never got to hold him & say goodbye, can I communicate somehow with him now & tell him I'll always love him? I have a pup now which I love more than anything but I will never forgive not being with my last.

BettyLewis: Chia, the explanation of what happens to animals after they die is very lengthy

BettyLewis: but the very fact that you still feel so strongly about your dog's loss

BettyLewis: indicates that probably

BettyLewis: he is still around and available to talk to us

BettyLewis: this would need to be done in a private consultation with a communicator

chia: also, my beautiful Border Collie pup is now a year, I have devoted this past year to raising him & love him more than life..does he understand how much I love & worry

PHMeowzers: ?

BettyLewis: chia, I'm certain he does

chia: do I worry too much??He is so smart & obedient

BettyLewis: Chia, you would know!

G:

chia: I never want any harm to come to him

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: Lilly go ahead with your question

chia: thankyou Betty

PHMowgli: For tonights chat if you have a ? for Betty Lewis all you need to do is type ? we will keep a list and when we call your name just type your question out and Betty Lewis will answer you.

LiLLyTheSpottedDevilKitt: My main coon mix mu shue was best freinds with Kayla cat after she died he became a diffent cat

LiLLyTheSpottedDevilKitt: a cat who loved to cuddle

BettyLewis: ok

LiLLyTheSpottedDevilKitt: Now My 3 year daughuter is sick

LiLLyTheSpottedDevilKitt: and he was close to her

LiLLyTheSpottedDevilKitt: and he will not cuddle any more

LiLLyTheSpottedDevilKitt: is he setting him self up for another loss

BettyLewis: anything that I say is speculation at this point, without talking to him

LiLLyTheSpottedDevilKitt: how can i help him by letting him know she is okay

BettyLewis: but it certainly does sound as though he withdraws within himself when he is upset

BettyLewis: I think that you should talk to him the way you would talk to your daughter

BettyLewis: and see what that accomplishes

BettyLewis: he is certainly very tuned into your feelings

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: chowchow go ahead

LiLLyTheSpottedDevilKitt: thank you

ChowChowLuv: I have a 10 1/2 yr old chow who has developed a strong fear of the microwave. Every time I turn it on he tries his best to hide under me. How can I help him with this fear? What books would you recommend for learning to communicate?

BettyLewis: you're welcome Lilly

BettyLewis: Hmmm, well

BettyLewis: it does sound like your dog is very intuitive

BettyLewis: and absolutely correct about the microwave being dangerous

BettyLewis: very likely he is picking up on information we ought to be picking up and aren't

BettyLewis: as far as helping him with his concern, I suggest that microwaves are really not safe

BettyLewis: however if you have to, you can use it when he's not around

BettyLewis: as far as books, there is mine, and Penelope Smith's

ChowChowLuv: He will come into the house from outside if I turn it on. He lives in the house.

BettyLewis: mine is Animals Speak

BettyLewis: it sounds to me as though he is trying to warn you about danger

BettyLewis: but without actually talking to him and asking him about it, I'm only speculating

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: RatGirl go ahead with your question for Betty Lewis

RatGirl: we recently rescued a chow-lab puppy who was dumped; does he feel safe now? does he know how loved he is?

ChowChowLuv: May I call you regarding a consultation?

BettyLewis: ChowChow, absolutely!

ChowChowLuv: Thank you!!

BettyLewis: RatGirl, contratulations on rescuing a puppy who needed a home

BettyLewis: I can't answer specific questions for your puppy on this chat

BettyLewis: but I suspect he certailny knows how loved he is

RatGirl: okay

RatGirl: thanks

BettyLewis: whether he feels safe or not we'd have to find out by talking to him directly

BettyLewis: you're welcome

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: shofar go ahead

shofar_k9s: Hi Betty. This is an old acquaintance from NH. Just wanted to say hi and ask if communicating with animals can be compared to muscle testing (kinesology) in any way? Oh, and I live in AR now. :-)

BettyLewis: Hi!

shofar_k9s: :-)

BettyLewis: Talking with animals telepathically and AK are energy techniques, but that is as far as any comparison could go, however

BettyLewis: AK=Applied Kinesiology

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: luvmybully

shofar_k9s: Thanks. CU!

BettyLewis: you're welcome!

BettyLewis: I am ready :)

luvmybully: i just wanted to know if u are avial to do over phone meetings?

PHMowgli: luvmybully your question?

BettyLewis: bully, yes I am

luvmybully: cool thanx

PHMowgli: cathouse waitress go ahead

CatHouseWaitress: betty, as my name suggests, i live and work at a cat sanctuary, with direct responsibility for 150 cats--any suggestions for fine-tuning to figure out WHO is saying WHAT?

BettyLewis: CatHouse, that's a VERY good question

BettyLewis: and it's a very tricky answer

BettyLewis: with 150 cats, what you probably have to do is to physically take the cats you want to communicate with out into a

BettyLewis: separate room and focus on that cat

BettyLewis: it is very possible for you to get information from every cat at the same if you're not focusing on a specific cat

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: Valkyrie your question

CatHouseWaitress: the problem is when i walk into the special-needs room--about 85 in there--and KNOW there's something wrong...

Valkyrie-dMN: I have 3 wolfdogs and 2 domestics. I have no problem communicating with my wds but I can't seem to reach my domestics as well or as often. Is there a reason for this, what am I missing?

BettyLewis: CatHouse, I'm afraid I don't know about that one.

CatHouseWaitress: thanks anyway!

BettyLewis: Valkyrie, well, I guess it could be the personalities of the domestic dogs

BettyLewis: or it could be the other dogs are more overwhelming and they're the ones running the conversation

Valkyrie-dMN: Both are geriatrics...border collie and a shep/rott cross.

Valkyrie-dMN: That's a distinct possibility.

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: Borntorun go ahead with your question

Valkyrie-dMN: Thanks

BettyLewis: you're welcome!

PHAbymom: If you have a question for Betty or a comment, type a ? or ! to the screen to be added to the queue and you will be called in turn

ChowChowLuv: ?

BornToRun: do you ever find that animals exaggerate or stretch the truth when they're talking to you?

casaiam: ?

BettyLewis: I don't think they do it on purpose

BornToRun: can you tell when they are?

BettyLewis: talking with animals is not quite as precise as using English

BettyLewis: so there's a little give and take involved in trying to figure out the true story

BettyLewis: ok

BornToRun: gotcha. thanks!

PHMowgli: Sadiesmom go ahead

SadieMom: What are some of the ways an ill or elderly pet (cat) may communicate its time is near and whether or not it would like some help crossing over?

rottn1: do animals go to heavan?

BettyLewis: generally we ask how they feel

BettyLewis: and whether they feel it's their time to go

BettyLewis: there are of course other signs like not eating

BettyLewis: and all the regular physical things we're looking for, their other circumstances

BettyLewis: we use every clue to try to figure out the answer to that question

BettyLewis: ok

tessapug: tessapug

tessapug: woops.

SadieMom: Thanks Betty.

PHMowgli: PHMeowzers go ahead

PHMeowzers: When a dear cat of mine died, a few days after she passed I felt like she visited me in the night and let me know everything was okay. Am I nuts, was I wishful thinking, or do you believe our dead pets can contact us?

BettyLewis: as far as animals going to heaven is concerned, there is a fairly long explanation that animals have given to me about what happens when they go beyond the physical life. I actually wouldn't term it heaven.

BettyLewis: The explanation is too long to go into in a chat.

BettyLewis: Oh I absolutely believe that we can talk to our animals after they have left their physical body

rottn1: I dont think I want to go there if my dogs arent there

BettyLewis: I feel you were very lucky to feel that and I congratulate you

PHMeowzers: thank you -- I treasure that feeling I had with her

BettyLewis: Meowzers, you're welcome

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: casaiam go ahead

casaiam: I have a Dogue de Bordeaux rescue that has definate issues w/doors. I suspect she's had them slammed on her. It would be so wonderful if we could get her to use the pet door but she won't. Can you suggest a way I can make her understand that it's okay to use it? We've tried everything.

BettyLewis: Rottn, souls are souls and we all go to the same place

BettyLewis: Casaim, sometimes just having a conversation with the animal makes the problem evaporate

BettyLewis: sometimes it's not as easy to that

BettyLewis: but talking to them is a very easy solution and certainly worth trying

BettyLewis: ok

casaiam: Thanks

PHMowgli: chowchow go ahead

ChowChowLuv: How would one tune into the smaller or beginnings of physical issues with the extremely stoic types such as my chows?

Wiscats: ?

BettyLewis: Talking with animals telepathically is conversation

BettyLewis: we can't make us tell them something they don't want to tell us

BettyLewis: some animals are stoic and they don't want to tell us and we just have to expect that

BettyLewis: accept that

ChowChowLuv: Thanks and I will definitely get your book!!

BettyLewis: ok

PHMowgli: Wiscats go ahead

BettyLewis: you're welcome and thank you!

Wiscats: I try to explain to my cats before something is going to happen, like a visit to the vet or, in the case of my fosters, that someone good is coming to give them a home. I have not apecial skills, just tell them in English. Do they understand anything? * Guest30891 (java@66.55.19.XR202=) Quit (QUIT: User exited)

BettyLewis: Animals tune into us all the time

BettyLewis: and they pick up on things that are important to THEM

BettyLewis: so if that's something that's really important, they are listening and picking up on what we're saying

Topazz: ?

BettyLewis: Thank you all so much for giving me the opportunity to talk to everybody

Wiscats: thank you

PHAbymom: Thank you, Betty

PHAbymom: On behalf of PetHobbyist CEO Jeff Barringer, Christie Keith, myself, and everyone at PetHobbyist.com, thank you for attending this event tonight, and we hope you enjoyed it.
