Is My Browser Java-Enabled?
At this time it is not possible to use our chats without a Java-enabled browser. To determine if Java is enabled, or to enable Java, in your browser: Netscape Browser Using Microsoft Windows, Macintosh OS, or Linux Go to the "Edit" menu and click on "Preferences." A box will appear. In the left-hand side, choose "Advanced." In the right-hand side make sure the box beside the words "Enable Java" is checked. Internet Explorer 4.x Using Microsoft Windows Go to the "View" menu and choose "Internet Options." A box will appear. Choose the "Security" tab. Under "Set the security level for this zone" choose "Custom" and click the "Settings" button. Another box will appear. Scroll down to the Java section. If "Disable Java" is selected, choose "Medium safety" instead. Click "OK" in both boxes. Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x Using Microsoft Windows Go to the "Tools" menu and choose "Internet Options." A box will appear. Select the "Security" tab. Under "Security level for this zone" choose the "Custom Level" button. Another box will appear. Scroll down to the Microsoft VM section. If "Disable Java" is selected, select "Medium safety" instead. Click "OK" in both boxes. Internet Explorer 4.x and 5.x under Macintosh OS Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Preferences." A box will appear. In the left-hand side, if the triangle beside "Web Browser" is pointing right, change the triangle so it points down. Select "Java" in the left side. Then, in the right side, make sure the box beside the words "Enable Java" is checked.
