Progressive Animal Health
12X18 Thermal Pad
TP 1218
Reviewed by: Jeff Barringer

We purchased 2 units for test from the manufacturer in November 2005 and have been using them since with no failures and few problems.

These hard flat plastic panels have a flush fit green indicator light on the top that comes on when the units are powered up. The panels are water resistant and have taken deep scratches without penetrating. They have a heavy duty grounded cord
with a short clear acrylic sleeve where it connects to the panel to provide extra protection against moisture, although on one of our units the sleeve has pulled free, the unit has continued to function
without failure.

My dogs have used them and they are currently in use in our tortoise pens. When on they provide localized heat 20 degrees above the ambient temperature. They have taken a beating both by the animals and the weather and have consistently functioned.

These products have worked well for us and we have no problems recommennding them

PROS:
Durable, Water resistant, Indicator light to allow for quick status check, built in Thermal Control Unit prevents overheating

CONS:
Indicator light somewhat dim, clear plastic collar
pulled free on one test unit
