Vision
I have had a chance to use these cages for the past year and am very impressed with their design. These cages come “knocked down” for shipping and are easily built with the instructions provided. In fact, it took me about fifteen minutes to build one (I am have zero handyman capabilities). The cages I purchased came with the optional incandescent light fixture. This fixture was easily installed via a pre-formed hole (covered with a plastic cap if you don’t want to use the fixture). The Visionarium® manufacturer recommends using only a 25-watt light bulb in these fixtures, which may make heating some species of lizards adequately problematic. We have tried 50-watt bulbs and have found the bottom of the cage becoming hot and even melting slightly, when no substrate was put in the cage. The sliding front glass doors work very smoothly and rarely get bound up with sand. If too much sand is trapped in the track, it is easy to vacuum out (just make sure you take the cage inhabitant out first!). Also, a very nice feature of these cages is the fact that the cages seat one on top of another for easy stacking. There is even a knock out on the bottom of the cage for the wire of the light fixture on the bottom cage to safely exit the bottom cage. Also, these cages have venting on the side to allow for very nice airflow.

PROS: Great design. Very affordable. Stacking possibilities. These cages would work well as display cages at shows. They are designed with replacable parts and modifications such as cage separations. Lighting for lizards is also possible.
