You have chosen to maintain a storefront page on one of OnlineHobbyist's communities. This is generally done for one of several reasons.

  1. You want to have a page on our community site but actually maintain your real site elsewhere.

  2. You want to custom tailor business advertising to focus on a specific market without rebuilding your existing site specifically for the specific marketplace.

  3. You want to be able to measure the traffic you get from our community.

Design

All store front pages now designed by OnlineHobbyist have several common design elements.

  • They all have an AUTO-JUMP feature that takes the user to your site after X number of seconds.
  • They all have a "Click To Enter" link to act as a backup to the AUTO-JUMP.
  • They all have a hit counter to give you traffic statistics.
  • They are built to "Look & Feel" like your existing site.
  • They incorporate graphics from the main page of your real website when possible, decreasing the main page load time once on the actual site.
  • They all have an "Affiliate" link button to allow users to get back to the main community

Changing The Look Of Your Storefront

You will want to maintain the continuity of look and feel between your storefront page and your real website. If you should change the look and feel the of your main site please contact us as soon as possible. Either we can rebuild the storefront or you can rebuild it and forward it to us.

When You Update Your Real Site

Anytime you add change or modify your existing website you need to contact the Site Coordinator so that we can list your website in the communities "UPDATED" sections. This is important as there is a distinct rise in traffic associated with being listed in the "UPDATED" sections.

Hit Counters

The hit counter placed on your page is a good way to get a general idea of how much traffic you get. The most accurate way to determine your traffic level would be to contact your ISP, obtain copies of your website's log files, and look at the "Referrer" data listed in them.
